It’s quite astounding to listen to the ongoing saga of Jean Charles de Menezes murder by the police. And I use the term ‘murder’, purposely, because under any other circumstances, and if those responsible hadn’t already been given a ‘get out of jail free card’, that is what it would be.
Just look at the damning evidence that shows why he deserved to be repeatedly shot in public…… (From BBC News)
Ivor, an undercover officer who held Mr de Menezes as he was shot in the head, told the court how he had earlier seen the Brazilian get off a bus in Brixton town centre - and then very quickly rejoin it.
Mr de Menezes had got off the bus and began walking towards the Brixton Underground Station - but after 20 metres turned back when he saw the station was temporarily closed.
Ivor had been on the same bus watching the target - but did not rejoin it out of fear of compromising the surveillance.
However, he reported Mr de Menezes's movements on his radio, but had not seen the Tube station was closed.
And it could have been an even bigger example of a complete balls up by all concerned……
On the first day of his evidence, Ivor had told the court how he acted to restrain Mr de Menezes in the Tube carriage after seeing armed officers rush onto the platform.
In the confusion, firearms officers dragged Ivor out of the train and levelled guns against his chest and head.
He was dressed almost identically to the suspect and carrying a rucksack.
So, a guy is brutally shot for getting off a bus, then getting back on, and in the midst of this high level surveillance operation, the armed lunatics that are supposed to protect the general public almost shot a fellow officer. Did any of these idiots actually turn up for the meeting that morning to see what the days work entailed?
Of course, it’s all irrelevant. Because who will end up paying the possibly unlimited fine that can be levied as a punishment for this debacle? You the taxpayer of course. If not directly, then in terms of reduced police services that will undoubtedly accompany it.
Keep in mind, that chief monkey in this incompetence zoo, Met Police Chief Sir Ian Blair, is the same person responsible for today backing plans to extend detention without trial from 28 days to 90 days for terror suspects.
Whatever happened to the head of an organisation taking responsibility for its actions? All the while we have a tool of oppression and dictatorship at the helm of the police force, none of us are safe to walk the streets. Let alone change our minds about a bus trip….
