A young Jehovah's Witness has died just hours after giving birth to twins. She had signed a form refusing blood transfusions, and her family would not overrule her. Couldn't doctors have intervened?

Once again the selfish nature of religious belief becomes apparent, as these two young babies are subjected to a life without a mother because of her selfish and misplaced loyalties to a blind and baseless doctrine.

According to reports, the children’s father, Anthony Gough is now looking after them. I hope he has sense enough to now realise the selfishness of these beliefs, and not compound these children’s harm at the loss of a mother, by then indoctrinating them in the same worthless faith that has led to this situation.
